My Always Attention-Catching Jacket

Image
I have had this jacket for a while now and everytime I wear it, people always stop to read the writing on it. I don't even understand what it means really but just brought the jacket because I liked the design. One time, an American colleague read it, had a boggled look on his face and asked what it meant; I laughed and said, I really don’t know. On a different occasion, a European boss in the same company I worked for previously read it and asked the same thing, my reply would always be the same. Today, I wore the jacket again and more than three people read the writing on my jacket all aloud. To spare them the trouble of asking, I just told them ahead that I personally don’t understand what it means. This appealed to my curious nature again and I thought maybe someone somewhere out there in the online world can help me decipher what it means. So for this purpose, I had to have someone take a snapshot of the writing on the jacket so I can post it here. Here is the picture

A Tribute to a Non-Camera Shy Little Butterfly

Image
We went to Barangay Magsaysay in Balamban Cebu earlier today for an office event and this butterfly just kept on tagging along with me and resting on the the DSLR camera I had in tow. I let her crawl on my fingers and hand for a bit and then let her rest on the mantel of a chair but she came back and kept crawling on me again.... I thought maybe she wanted a picture taken so here it is! After a few pictures with my other colleagues... we sent her on her way and then she stopped tagging along. ;-) She really did want a picture taken and she just got herself a spot in my blog as well. Thanks for the memoir little butterfly! ;-) 04/29/14 5:27pm nmed

My Top 11 Depression Busters

Image
1. Listen to Music.   Music never fails to enliven me and make my mood better. Of course, the type of music is subjective, but I feel that the 80’s music, reggae, and oldies are better compared to the newer and noisier songs. ;-) 2. Write it out.   For someone like me who prefers to keep (problems and issues) to herself, writing is always an excellent avenue to vent out (exactly why I created this blog in the first place), share and just be in touch with my feelings without getting physically violent. Hehe… 3. Get some Exercise.   It probably is just unreleased sweat wanting to get out of our systems so it might be best to try and sweat it out as well. ( I do have an entry that lists the personal benefits of exercise and its relation to positive mood. ) 4. Read something.   Depression is not a lonely path, I realized that when I googled it – a lot of other normal people go through depression in different levels and some actually have to go through medical means just to

A REVIEW: KALDEROHAN SA PINO IN LAHUG & 7-ELEVEN BRANCH IN GUADALUPE, CEBU

Thanks to the 500 peso GC I won over at Y101 FM, we ate at Kalderohan sa Pino for free! ;-) We know of Pino Restaurant as a catering to the middle and upper class market but they've decided to open a whole new market and now serve our fave Cebuano street foods like balbacua, tinolang Bisaya nga manok, dinuguan and the likes at affordable prices. The three of us (Itoy, me and Izel) ate there last Sunday night after attending mass at St. Therese Church in Lahug and here is my review... 1. The food was good. The balbacua was yummy - unlike those served in the usual "kilid-kilid" eateries, their balbacua had a lot of ingredients and even had peanuts. Their chicken barbeque and pork belly was also good. I ate two and a half servings of rice! ;-) 2. The dining staff wasn't great. They weren't very enthusiastic and seemed sluggish and sleepy. The "kilid-kilid" eateries staff were definitely more lively and accommodating. On the bright side, the securi
